What Every Woman Need To Have In Their Makeup Purse

By Nneka Olisa - May 10, 2019

It's yet another Friday, and like most people would say, TGIF!!!

Friday for some people is a day in the week they feel a burden is been lifted from their shoulders... a day of the week where they can go home off work and not think of returning to work the next morning.

Most people begin to even turn up the moment they leave work on a Friday evening. Probably head to the spa to chill out, go drinking and catching up with friends, visit the cinema to see the latest blockbuster movie... what ever comes to mind, long as they are having a good time.

While some persons are also in a category where all they wanna do is head back home, probably buy popcorn on their way home, chill for the evening and Netflix all night with their loved ones.

This set of people would rather spend their time indoors, maybe go for brunch on Saturday, or, visit a friend at home for a load of packaged gossip.

Which ever category, one needs to have a makeup purse containing some of their favorite easy to wear on products... just in case, one needs to look fresh and new.

Okay, here's a quick review of my favorite beauty products which I can not do without. Personally, I love to look natural even on days when I wear makeup. And the listed products enable me achieve the natural look I desire.

On days when I feel lazy, and it seems like my hands and brains can not correlate to wearing makeup, I just throw this beauty products into my purse.

1. Mascara: Mascara can't be overemphasized in my daily beauty routine. I Love to have my eyelashes popping even if I am not wearing makeup. This literally jolts my eyes to life and I begin to feel like I really do look great.

Even on days when  I wear makeup, and still want to look natural, I literally do the mascara routine and my lashes would be popping.

I am currently loving the L'oreal mascara as this makes my lashes look voluminous at an instant dab.

2.  Lip Gloss: As a woman of color, it is essential to know what lip product would suit the skin tone perfectly. Lip Gloss has the best finishing effect on my face... with or without makeup.
It is a product you don't need to keep swiping on now and then.

The process of applying my lip gloss always starts from lining my lip with a lip liner, thereafter, I go in with a plain lip gloss... I use the Absolute plain lip gloss which is super affordable and gives you that long lasting effect you want.

Next up, I apply my gloss from Huda beauty --- a nude shade. Topping that up, I apply a shimmery gold lip gloss from classic beauty.

Products: Zaron Matifying Powder, L'oreal Mascara. Absolute plain Lipgloss, Classic Shimmery LipGloss (Gold), Huda Beauty Lip Gloss, and, a powder brush.

3.  Zaron Matifying Powder: To smoothen the face and conceal all patches and smile lines your makeup must have after a long day at work, going in with a powder seems to be the best alternative. But first, make sure you dab off any sweat you think your face have before going in with a powder.

Reason being that, when you apply a powder on a sweaty face, you are ignorantly covering the sweat pores on your face which later results to itching and break outs.

Therefore, if you are the type to wear makeup or not, it is important to move about with a handkerchief or a wipe just in case a need for this arise.

So, this is basically what I throw into my makeup purse. I am specifically not a makeup person so I just do this routine every day except for days I feel like wearing makeup.
