To mark the Easter Holidays, The Federal Government of Nigeria has stipulated Friday, April 19 and Monday, April 22 as Public Holidays.

The announcement was made by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Mrs Georgina Ehuriah on Wednesday in Abuja.

Quoting the Minister Of Interior, Lt.- Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau(Rtd), the Federal Government is urging all Christians to copy and follow the examples lined out by Jesus Christ which consists of love, tolerance and living in peace with people.

He went further to urge all Nigerians who are within the country and abroad to say a prayer for the peace, unity, and, progress of Nigeria.. not minding the difference in religious beliefs.
