Well, NYSC has finally made a statement concerning the incident that happened before the 21th of March, 2019.
The Director-General of the corps, Major General Suleiman Kazaure, in his visit to various "Batch A" camps, has expressed its concern over the killing of two corps members in Bayelsa State stating that the corpers posted to the state are National properties on national assignments.
He further urged the state governor, Serikae Henry Dickson to do the needful in terms of security of corp members.
"There is the need for the governor to do the needful in terms of security of the corps members."
"The corps members are national assets on national assignment. And if nothing is done by the state government, we will withdraw corps members from serving in Bayelsa state," Kazaure stated.
