The police officer identified as Sergeant Abu, attached to Omu-Aran of the Police division in Kwara State was killed by a mad man.

Reports has it that the supposed mad man stormed the police station with a cutlass and other dangerous weapons and launched an attack on Sgt. Abu.

The victim was rushed immediately to a private hospital in town, but was later transferred to Ido Medical Cetre in Ekiti State where he died on Wednesday, April 3rd.

Reports gathered from an eyewitness stated that; He was on his motocycle when he saw a man fleeing with a cutlass and a wood. He was putting on a red attire. Some motorcyclists were chasing him and he also joined in the chase. 

The eyewitness said the mad man was apprehended along Taiwo Area, when the culprit surrendered by himself.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the command, Ajayi Okasanmi, the matter is being investigated.
