Yemi Osibanjo, the Vice President of Nigeria, made a comment stating that the Kogi State Government would have been in trouble if the plane crash incident that occurred in February had gone sideways.
It is no news that the vice president and his team who paid a visit to Kogi State pre-election was involved in a helicopter crash.
In a thanksgiving service held at the Aso Villa Chapel on Sunday, the vice-president gave thanks to God for protection of life.
No injury was however sustained in the incident, which investigation later showed was as a result of “unusual weather condition.”
In a speech by the vice president, he said that “on the 2nd of February, God gave him a reason to know that but for his grace him and his team would have been consumed when their helicopter crashed.”
“When the crash occurred, for a moment there was complete silence. For a second, it occurred to me that if we had died, that is what it would have been, complete silence. But we all got out without a scratch. God delivered us." Osibanjo said.
He further gave thank to God for delivering those in charge of their security, stating that the government pf Kogi State would have also been in trouble.
Here is his statement in quote;
“God also delivered those in charge of our security, the government of Kogi State would have also been in trouble. We give God all the glory. I pray God will also be kind to you all also, that you will never be lacking in support, care and genuine prayers.”
