On Wednesday been the 21th of March,
2019 some unknown gunmen stormed the premises of a private school proprietor in
Swali, a town in Yenagoa, Bayelsa.
It is reported that two corps
members lost their lives due to this horrible incident, the third one who was
said to be badly injured was been treated and taken care of at the Federal
Medical Centre, Yenegoa.
The two corps members who lost their
lives were identified as Popoola Olamide, a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo
University, an indigine of Oyo state.
The other deceased was identified as
one George Onokpoma.
The third corp member, who is
currently been treated at the hospital was said to be Anthony Dada.
The name of the school which the
corps members were attached to was recognized as Victory Group of Schools, a
private school, close to their residence.
The
killing of the NYSC members is coming on the heels of the orgies of
cult-related killings which have pervaded the state capital, since after the
election.
