Osun State Cannot Pay N30,00 Minimum Wage - Oluwo of Iwoland

By Nneka Olisa - March 24, 2019

Rasheed Akanbi, the Oluwo of Iwoland, well-known for his extravagant lifestyle, has commented about the minimum wage recently approved by the senate.

He mentioned that the state cannot afford to keep up with it's current wage bill let alone step up to the recent N30,000 approved by the senate.

He said the state civil service was populous and needed to be restored to a good state.

The governor might not admit that the state is sick, but Osun is sick.

Rasheed Akanbi said he made this statement because he is a royal father and it is expected to speak the truth always.

He said the state cannot keep up with the current wage passed on by the senate, except a total reconstruction of the civil servants in the state is conducted.

A situation whereby 26 drivers will be attached to two vehicles must stop Rasheed Akanbi said.

Meanwhile a solution to this demise was presented by the royal father Raheed Akanbi.

He said unproductive civil servants must be made productive by government and be deployed where their skills would be useful.
